Red Hill

Red Hill’s only Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League grand final appearance to date came in 1990 in Division Two. Opposed by Karingal, the Redmen won convincingly by 40 points, 16.7 (103) to 9.9 (63). Recent seasons have seen the Hillmen regularly contesting the finals suggesting that a second flag might well be in the offing. The 2017 season continued this trend as Red Hill qualified for the finals in fifth place although somewhat disappointingly this was where they ultimately finished after going down by 36 points to Hastings in the elimination final. A year later the Hillmen made a bold bid for premiership honours, ultimately reaching a grand final showdown with Dromana. Having already downed the Tigers by 14 points in the second semi final Red Hill were quite warmly favoured to win but after a hard fought tussle they fell short by 8 points.
